Steelers’ Healers

Connection, conversation and creation:  that’s what is important to us at Steelers’ Healers.

At our brand new workshop in Deepcar, we come together to make, repair and repurpose, and to support projects in our local community.

Steelers’ Healers is part of the UK-wide Men in Sheds movement, which aims to Improve wellbeing, reduce loneliness and combat social isolation.

Our new Shed opens every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday

We need volunteers to help us keep things running , why not join us?

What do we do in our Shed?

Its really up to you!  Many of our Shedders work with wood, though we have facilities for metalworking, repairing and restoring motorbikes; if there’s somethign you are interested in or can teach others, please feel free to bring it to our shed.

Our Shed typically attracts older men, but we’re open to having younger members and women too. Whatever the activity, the essence of our Shed is not just about using your hands, but building connections and relationships between our members.

What's going on in our Shed?

Have a look at what’s going on in our shed.  Everything from gaining new funding, attending events, making progress on our Shed and anything else we think is newsworthy!
